Whether you’re new to mushrooming or an experienced mycologist, MycoNB connects you with a welcoming community passionate about fungi in New Brunswick. Guided Forays & Walks

Participate in seasonal mushroom walks and our annual foray, led by knowledgeable members who share identification skills, safety tips, and ecological insights.

MYCONB MEMBERSHIP TYPES

Membership includes access to the Annual Foray, regional walks and all other society benefits. Membership to MycoNB Society is renewed annually. We offer a reduced rate for students enrolled in Secondary or Post-Secondary education, and for families.

Individual

Annual dues of $40 for a single person 18 years of age and older. Children 14 and under are always free.

Student

Annual dues of $20 for students enrolled in Secondary/Post-Secondary school.

Family

Annual dues of $60 for two adults and any children in the household under 18 years of age.

ANNUAL FORAY: A CELEBRATION OF FUNGI

Join us each year for the fall Annual Foray, New Brunswick’s largest gathering of mushroom enthusiasts. Experience a full day of guided walks, hands-on identification workshops, and presentations by expert mycologists. Discover the incredible diversity of fungi while connecting with fellow members.

ABOUT MYCONB SOCIETY

The MycoNB Society is a federally registered non-profit, volunteer-managed association of amateur and professional mycologists and others with an interest in wild mushrooms and other fungi, based in New Brunswick, Canada.
 
Our goal is to inspire and spark public interest in and appreciation of fungi and the role it plays in nature.

    Foster public interest in fungi and their ecological roles

    Support mycological education by organizing forays, workshops, and learning events

    Act as a resource on matters affecting the preservation, identification and appreciation of the fungi of New Brunswick

    Identify sites of particular ecological value to work with other organizations and government agencies to achieve their preservation

    Research mycological diversity in NB and disseminate the data to government agencies, scientists, and interested members of the public

    Actively share information with, and encourage participation from Wolastoqiyik, Mi’kmaq and Peskotomuhkati peoples, as we recognize that the activities of the society take place in their traditional unceded territory
